Overview
NOW Systems S.L.U. is the environmental division company of Nologin Consulting Group since the year 2022, dedicated to Ocean and Weather by developing tools and services to improve the knowledge of the marine environment and to facilitate decision making based on it.
NOW Systems has been involved in In Situ TAC component since Copernicus phase 1, and in phase 2 as a consortium partner, but the company position as a Copernicus Marine Service provider for the European Atlantic façade is reinforced by co-leading with Mercator Ocean International the IBI-MFC (Iberia-Biscay-Ireland Monitoring & Forecasting Centre), working for the transition, launch and control of operational forecasts of ocean circulation, waves and biogeochemistry, both on short-term and climate scales.
In parallel to this activity as Copernicus Marine provider, NOW is being a developer of its operational downstream coastal monitoring and forecasting services (tailor-made for specific customers or developed in the framework of collaborative initiatives and projects), actively contributing to build Digital Twins of the Coast.
For this second phase of Copernicus Marine Service 2, NOW Systems will be participating in the following tasks:
- Task 1. Near Real Time Operations:
- NRT operations in the IBI region, production and quality control.
- Task 2. Multi Year Operations:
- Recovery of historical data in the IBI region.
- Product quality multi-year assessment for Wave REP product.
- Development of Sea level REP product.
- Task 3: Ocean Reporting
- Ocean Monitoring Indicators production
- Task 4: Interfaces
- Component of InSitu TAC Service Desk organisation for IBI region NRT, Wave REP and Sea level REP operations.
- Task 5: System Evolution and implementation.
- Sea level REP product development.
- Task 6: Crosscutting activities
- Participation in Technical Working Group
Beside that, related with the engagement strategy of the In SItu TAC component, NOW Systems will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Dashboard and Monitoring web services available through its dedicated website
