Puertos del Estado, The Ministry for the Ecological Transition (Ministerio para la Transicion Ecologica, MITECO), the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (Centro para el Desarrollo Technologico Industrial, CDTI) and Mercator Ocean International organized last March, 28th, 2019 in Madrid, Spain, an event entitled “Copernicus Marine for Spain” to present the Copernicus Marine Service to the Spanish Copernicus National User Forum (#CMEMS4Spain hashtag on Twitter)
The objectives of this event were the following:
- Listen to the Spanish public authorities and institutions experience, needs and priorities in terms of Copernicus Marine data.
- Share the Spanish business user experience using Copernicus Marine data.
- Present Copernicus Marine future evolutions in terms of data in the Iberia-Biscay-Irish seas (IBI) and DIAS service.
- Discuss further possible connexions and new possible users of the Copernicus Marine Iberia-Biscay-Irish data.
The In Situ TAC were represented in this event by the regional IBI team: Fernando Manzano, Alejandro Gallardo and Marta de Alfonso, who made a general presentation of the Copernicus Marine Service In Situ TAC, showing the general characteristics and products offered for the users.
