The latest General Assembly of the In Situ TAC, the in situ component of the Copernicus Marine service, took place the 27th and 28th September in Brest.
This was the first meeting in person since the pandemic period and a great opportunity to discuss and consolidate the European consortium, gathering experts on in situ measurements, data management and operational services. The objective of the meeting was to share the status on the cross-activities and to discuss and agree on their evolutions. At the end of the day, clearer interactions were stated between regional product leaders and global product experts in terms of product enhancements, links with providers and other Copernicus production centres, data quality control, technical homogenisation of the products and communication on events.
Previous leader, Sylvie Pouliquen and deputy, Loïc Petit de la Villéon, were present a last time to say goodbye to everyone before retiring and starting a new life. The new leader Dominique Obaton and the deputy Stéphane Tarot will continue to ensure the coordination of the In Situ.
